N4’s story exchange process is simple but profound: people partner up, tell one another a true story from their life, listen deeply to each other, and then retell the other’s story using first-person (“I”) pronouns, as if their partner’s story were actually their own.

Here are the prompts to choose from:

• Tell a story of a time when community mattered (you may define community however you like - a city, a neighborhood, a group, etc)

• Tell a story of a time when your world collided with someone whose story is different from yours.

• Tell a story of a time when you grew as a person because of stepping out of your comfort zone.

• Tell a story of a time when your community came together to make something better.

• Tell a story of a time when you welcomed somebody or were yourself welcomed into a home / social circle / community / team / city.
