SoLit works to instill a love of reading, writing, and community conversation. Books can certainly bring us together, but some people find they don't enjoy traditional book clubs. Silent book clubs are perfect for those who want to be in community with others but without the assigned reading, required discussion, and social pressure.

Our monthly silent book clubs include time for silent reading and optional socializing. They are BYOB (bring your own book) and take place at a variety of local bars and coffee shops.​

Schedule

6:30-7: Grab a drink and chat with others — but only if you want!
7-8: Quiet reading hour
8-8:30: More socializing or more reading

These book clubs are free, and you can come and go as you please, but it is helpful to have RSVPs.
